Congress Leaders Visit Affected Farmers From Today
The Party's top leaders will visit Telangana's farmers affected due to "the non-waiver of crop loans, erratic power supply and lack of assistance by the Government".
The top leaders of the Telangana Congress will visit the farmers affected due to the non-waiver of crop loans, erratic power supply and lack of assistance by the State Government.
They will also visit the families of the farmers who committed suicide in the last 4 months.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises on Wednesday, Deputy CLP leader in the Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir said that the decision to conduct mandal-wise visits was taken by the Congress Coordination Committee in its meeting held last evening.
TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy, CLP leader in the Telangana Council D Srinivas and other senior leaders will visit Domakonda and Bhiknur mandals of Kamareddy on Thursday.
Similar tours will also be taken up across Telangana in the next few days, and a comprehensive report will be submitted to the Governor covering the present status of the farmers, the reasons that led to the suicides and the immediate remedial measures possible. (INN)
