Hyderabad | 4th November 2013
The Ministry of Home Affairs will conduct the all-party meeting on Telangana issue, with the 8 political parties of Andhra Pradesh on November 12 and 13.
Instead of inviting all the parties at once, the Ministry will hold consultations with 4 parties each, on November 12 and 13th, according to sources.
Various provisions of the Terms of Reference of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana, will be discussed in the meeting with the representatives of the political parties, and suggestions will be asked.
While the TRS, BJP and CPI are in favour of a separate Telangana state, YSRCP, CPM and AIMIM are against the division of AP.
However, 2 major state parties, Congress and TDP, are divided on the issue. Therefore, it is not yet clear how the Centre will form the groups of the parties.
Further, the parties are yet to decide whether to attend the all-party meeting or not. (INN)
