Assembly Sessions From Feb 26, Budget On Feb 28

The stage is set for the Budget session of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly, with the State government deciding to convene the House from February 26.

The government plans to conduct the Assembly proceedings for 10 to 15 days.

During the session, the Telangana government will present the Budget on February 28.

The finance department is finalising the Budget. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has already held pre-Budget meetings with various departments, and is in the process of finalising the allocations for them.

Reports indicate that the allocations in the upcoming Budget for most departments are likely to exceed those of the previous year. The government is also expected to place significant emphasis on welfare schemes and infrastructure development.
