TDP Vice-President Mohammad Saleem on Monday took oath as a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council.
He was administered oath by Legislative Council chairman Dr A Chakrapani in his chambers in the presence of TDP leaders Motkupalli Narasimhulu, R Chandrasekhara Reddy, T Srinivas Yadav, N Rajkumari, Shahbaz Ahmed Khan, Muzaffar Ali Khan, Singireddy Srinivas Reddy and others.
Talking to reporters after taking the oath, Saleem said that he would raise the problems being faced by the people in the House. He said that the state was in the grip of serious problems, especially power crisis, the non-release of scholarship to students from minority communities, and other issues. He said he would also utilise his previous experience of being the chairman of the State Wakf Board, and would ensure the protection of Wakf properties across the state. (INN)
