Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Floor Leader in the state Assembly Etela Rajender on Monday demanded that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) unequivocally apologise for alleging that the TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao has been minting money through the Telangana statehood agitation.
Condemning the remarks of Seemandhra Telugu Desam Party MLAs Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and Linga Reddy, who who had alleged that KCR had minted thousands of crores of rupees by playing on the Telangana sentiment, Rajender demanded that the TDP leaders immediately withdraw their remarks and issue an apology.
Talking to media persons at the Assembly media point, the TRS Floor leader warned the TDP MLAs of serious consequences if they did not apologise.
Condemning the TDP MLAs demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the assets and properties of KCR, Rajender questioned if the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu had made any money through kickbacks by remaining silent over the fact that his MLA Nallapuneni Prasanna Kumar Reddy was speaking in favour of the Congress.
Rajender further stated that the TDP leaders had lost their mental balance and that this was the reason behind their leveling baseless charges against KCR.
Describing the Vision 2020 document brought out by Chandrababu Naidu as an 'utter flop', the TRS leader said that the TDP chief was a cheat.
