TDP MLAs Again Stopped At AP Assembly Gate
Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the police had behaved insultingly with his party MLAs when they tried to enter the Assembly to attend the ongoing session.
TDP president and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu today alleged that the police had behaved rudely and in an insulting manner with his party MLAs and MLCs when they tried to enter the Assembly to attend the ongoing session, and demanded that the State government take action against the erring police officials.
He also alleged that the police officers were not allowing his party MLAs and MLCs to carry placards into the Assembly premises. He pointed out that the YSRCP MLAs had brought placards inside the Assembly hall repeatedly during his party's rule.
He told the Chief Minister that he would not allow the State government to turn the Assembly into his family bastion Pulivendula.
Earlier, Naidu had a bitter experience at the Assembly gate when the security officials did not allow his party legislators and him inside the Assembly premises as they were carrying placards on the failures of the State government.
Although the TDP legislators told the security personnel that they would take the placards only to the TDLP office, the police did not allow them inside.
This prompted the TDP leaders to stage a dharna in front of the Assembly gate. Naidu told the media that his party leaders were not even allowed to take documents and other papers to their legislature party office by the police, and that the latter were misbehaving with even the female public representatives of his party. He alleged that the State was witnessing rule by a "psycho", and also said that Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was indulging in vendetta politics.
