Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Telangana activist Jitta Balakrishna Reddy and TNGOs' Association president Mamilla Rajender joined the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) at Telangana Bhavan today.
BRS working president and Telangana minister K T Rama Rao welcomed them to the partyfold by donning BRS scarves around them.
Expressing happiness at Ravula joining the BRS, KTR said that with the arrival of Ravula and his followers, the strength of one hundred elephants had come to the BRS in Mahbubnagar district.
The minister also said that five medical colleges had come to Mahabubnagar district since the formation of Telangana State.
He also slammed TPCC president Revanth Reddy, who he claimed was caught red-handed with bags of money in the vote-for-note case, for challenging Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to a debate on the distribution of liquor and cash ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, and said that the people were laughing at the sermons of Revanth Reddy.
KTR also found fault with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for promising a BC census in Telangana if the Congress was voted to power in the upcoming Assembly elections, and asked why the governments in Congress-ruled States had not taken up such BC censuses.
