Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Monday requested the leaders of the TSRTC employee unions' JAC to stop creating troubles for the common people of Hyderabad by holding protests every day.
He made these remarks after inspecting the security arrangements at the Ministers' Quarters complex in the city following a call given by the Joint Action Committee to lay siege to the houses of the ministers and public representatives of the TRS.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the police would deal firmly with the violators.
He said that the city had become the medical health capital of the country and a hub for businessmen from across the world. Several prominent businessmen visited the city every day, and any activities aimed at creating trouble for the common people would bring disrepute to the city, he said.
Meanwhile, RTC employees stormed the houses of ministers today and protested for their demands. The ministers targeted included Etala Rajender, T Harish Rao and G Jagadish Reddy. Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy's house was gheraoed, too.
The employees shouted anti-government slogans, and demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao call them for talks to end the strike. The police arrested them.
