Sania Mirza is again in news - this, time it is for her tennis academy, which she plans to start in March 2013 in Hyderabad.
The construction work of this academy in the outskirts of Hyderabad has already been started, and is expected to be done by March 2013.
Sania says that she has been thinking of this academy for a few years, and that this would be the best way for her to give something back to India and sports.
"Hopefully, if not in the next 5 years, in the next 10 to 15 years we will have good players out of this academy", she adds.
She says that the academy aims at providing youngsters with quality training at affordable prices.
The 4-acre academy that is being built on the outskirts will initially have 9 hard courts. Another 9 hard courts with 3 clay courts will be added to it gradually.
Sania's father Imran Mirza, who is at the moment busy writing a book on the journey of his sportstar daughter, said that they are planning to rope in a few sponsors so that the training can be made easy.
Meanwhile, Sania was also in the news to say that that the cash prizes for the winners at the Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship are made equal for men and women. She was the chief guest for the event on Saturday.
