SCR will run a bi-weekly Special Train between Visakhapatnam and Kollam from 15 December to 16 January.
To clear the extra rush of passengers during Sabarimalai season, the South Central Railway will run a bi-weekly Special Train between Visakhapatnam and Kollam from 15 December to 16 January.
According to SCR, Train No. 08569, the Visakhapatnam-Kollam bi-weekly Special Train, will depart from Visakhapatnam at 9am on all Thursdays and Sundays and arrive in Kollam at 3.30pm on the next day.
In the return journey, Train No. 08570, the Kollam-Visakhapatnam bi-weekly Special Train will depart from Kollam at 7.20pm on Fridays and Mondays, and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 1.25am on the second day.
Enroute, these trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Tirupati, Katpadi, Jolarpattai, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Ernakulam Town and Kottayam.
These trains will have the following coaches: one AC II Tier, one AC III Tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second class and 2 Luggage cum Break Van coaches. (INN)
