RTC Will Turn Profitable: Mahender Reddy
The Telangana Transport Minister also said the RTC would add 80 Volvo buses, including 30 each for Hyderabad and Warangal, and 20 for Karimnagar district.
Telangana Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Saturday announced that the State Government would take measures to convert the RTC into a profitable institution.
Speaking to media persons after reviewing the performance of RTC with officials at the State Secretariat here, Reddy said that the RTC had a huge potential for growth, and proper decisions and better administration would change the fate of the RTC in the next few months.
He also informed that a team of RTC and traffic police officials would visit Mumbai on August 5th and 6th to study the traffic and public transport management there.
Mahender added that the RTC would add 80 new Volvo buses to its fleet. They would include 30 buses for Hyderabad, 30 for Warangal and 20 for the Karimnagar district.
He said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao wanted the RTC to connect all the villages in the State. (INN)
