Revanth Reddy Resigns As Malkajgiri MP
Two other Congress MPs, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, are also said to have resigned since they will be part of the Telangana Assembly now.

TPCC president Revanth Reddy, who represents the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, resigned from the post today.
Reddy has been elected from to the Telangana Assembly from the Kodangal constituency, and has been chosen to be the next Chief Minister of the State by the Congress. He will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of the State on Thursday. In this context, Reddy, who was in New Delhi today, submitted his resignation letter to the Speaker.
Two other Congress MPs - Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who represents the Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency, and Uttam Kumar Reddy, who represents the Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency - also contested the Assembly elections and were elected as MLAs. Uttam Kumar Reddy is said to have resigned from his post on Tuesday. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is also said to be planning to submit his resignation letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker. The two senior leaders are expected to be given cabinet posts.
With the term of current Lok Sabha coming to an end in five months, there will be no chance of by-elections being held to the vacant Lok Sabha seats.
Meanwhile, three BJP MPs from Telangana - Bandi Sanjay, Dharmapuri Arvind and Soyam Bapurao - who also contested the Assembly elections but were defeated, will continue as MPs till the completion of their terms in May 2024.
