The Rayalaseema Advocates' Forum on Tuesday filed a police complaint against Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao, for creating animosity on regional grounds.
The complaint, filed at Kurnool II-Town Police Station, also held Medak MP Vijayashanthi, MLAs T Harish Rao and K T Rama Rao and Telangana Political JAC chairman M Kodandaram responsible for creating animosity between the people of Rayalaseema and Telangana, who it said have been living peacefully in the state capital.
The advocates stated that the Telangana leaders, by organizing bandhs and agitations, want to destabilize the state's economy.
They also alleged that Telangana leaders are provoking people and students, and that they are looking for mileage from the Telangana statehood issue.
They said that students are being misguided by the statehood agitation, and are neglecting their studies and careers and are being forced to commit suicides for the cause of Telangana.
The advocates appealed to the government to take necessary action against everyone who is guilty of provoking people. They urged the government to make efforts towards employees withdrawing their general strike, and to take steps necessary for the maintenance of law and order.
However, the police is yet to register the case on the complaint filed by the Rayalaseema advocate. (INN)
