Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday stated that the 'Rachabanda' program taken up by his government from January 24th throughout the state had evoked better response than expected.
In a statement, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the response to the program from the applicants was very high.
He, however, said that it had come to his notice that many people, especially those belonging to the poorer sections, were representing to redress other problems apart from the 7 prioritized issues of the program.
In this backdrop, the Chief Minister said that he had instructed the District Collectors and the Planning Department to receive each and every application during the Rachabanda program without fail.
He made it clear that if any of the poor people during the course of Rachabanda program represent any new issues/problem other than the 7 prioritized issues, all those applications should also be received and processed for redressal.
It may be recalled that the Chief Minister has already instructed the administration to streamline and process the applications received during the Rachabanda program on the 7 prioritized issues like distribution of ration cards/coupons, YSR Abhaya Hastham, pensions, Rajiv Arogyasri, Mahatma Gandhi NREGS, Pavala Vaddi and Indiramma Housing.
The Chief Minister had launched the Rachabanda program in the state at Rajam-Dolapet Nagara Panchayat of Srikakulam district on January 24th which was received well and made success by the public.
Later, the Chief Minister participated in the programs at Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Kurnool, Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy and Nalgonda districts, which were also attended by the public in large numbers and made successful.
On Monday, the Chief Minister will participate in the program at Anupalli. Anupalli is the village where former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was scheduled to launch the Rachabanda in September, 2009.
