Pawan Kalyan In Trouble Over Tweet On SC Verdict

The police filed a case against the actor and Jana Sena chief alleging that he had insulted the National Anthem by speaking against the recent Supreme Court verdict.

The Saroor Nagar police today filed a case against cinema actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan alleging that he had dishonored the National Anthem by speaking against the recent Supreme Court ruling.

High Court Advocate Janardhan Goud today lodged a complaint against Pawan Kalyan for his Tweet that cinema halls were being used to prove patriotism. Goud alleged that Kalyan was campaigning against the National Anthem and provoking the people.

It may be recalled that Supreme Court made it compulsory for movie theatres to play the National Anthem and for the viewers to stand up during the play.

Reacting to the SC verdict, the Tollywood actor-turned politician Tweeted the cinema halls had become examination halls where one went to prove their patriotism.
