Taking a serious exception to actor cum Jana Sena party President Pawan Kalyan's allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, TDP, and national BJP leaders, State BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said that the BJP had no issues with people demanding their rights or taking part in peaceful protests.
"The BJP is a Party that truly upholds and respects democratic values," Rao said.
In a press on Friday, the BJP leader said that his Party strongly condemned Kalyan's statements against the Prime Minister, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu. Pawan's statements were unwarranted, baseless and immature. No one who understood the basic tenets of polity would have had made such foolish remarks, he ridiculed.
"Pawan Kalyan is an opportunist and only a Twitter tiger. He hasn't got the experience or knowledge on issues that concern the State. He would ride the wagon only if someone else drove it. He has neither sincerity of purpose nor the maturity to address people's concerns articulately. He lacks conviction to be in the midst of the people who he wishes to fight for. He is a part-time politician who operates through press conferences and Twitter," he stated, adding that Pawan's personal statements against Venkaiah Naidu only exposed his intellectual bankruptcy.
Blaming the Prime Minister for rally permission in Vizag is something which only someone with Pawan Kalyan's level of maturity would do, Saagar Rao quipped.
The BJP spokesperson also advised Kalyan to focus, if he could, on real issues and fight in the real world for real people instead of tweeting from the comfort of his shooting trailer van and making pointless and juvenile allegations.
