Congress MLA from Vijayawada City Malladi Vishnu on Friday claimed that the negotiations with the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leaders were on to ensure that it restores its ties with the ruling party.
Talking to reporters at the Assembly media point, Vishnu said that was MIM was an old ally of the Congress party and efforts were being made to clear the misunderstandings. He said that the MIM leaders took the decision in haste and senior Congress leaders have been trying for reconciliation.
The Congress MLA alleged that the real enemies of the people were Telugu Desam Party, YSR Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi and to prevent these parties from coming to power the Congress and MIM should remain allies.
Vishunu also slammed TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for making false promises with the people during his "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra. He said that Naidu was in power for almost nine years and if he was so serious about people's welfare, then what prevented him from implemented the welfare schemes. Stating that Naidu has been alleging that the State's exchequers are empty, he asked the TDP chief to explain how he would manage funds to implement his promises worth thousands of crores if he comes to power in next elections.
