Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao treated MLCs as just rubber stamps, and had never cared about the problems he (Reddy) wanted to raise.
Just about a month ahead of the Assembly elections, the ruling BRS got another big jolt in Nagarkurnool as MLC Kuchukulla Damodhar Reddy on Thursday announced his resignation from the party.
The MLC sent his resignation letter to BRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Reddy mentioned in the letter that although he had received a suitable position in the party, he had to leave due to local problems.
"When I was in the Congress, I used to meet the then Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy once every fortnight. However the situation is completely different in the BRS government, and it is very difficult to meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. During the last four-and-a-half years, I did not get a chance to meet the CM even once," Reddy said in his resignation letter.
He alleged that the Chief Minister had treated MLCs as just rubber stamps, and had never cared about the problems he (Reddy) wanted to raise with him.
