NTR Statue In Alwal Demolished

Tension prevailed in the Jawahar Nagar area of Alwal on Friday after some miscreants demolished and burnt the statue of TDP founder and former Chief Minister, late N T Rama Rao.

Tension prevailed in the Jawahar Nagar area of Alwal on Friday after some miscreants demolished and burnt the statue of TDP founder and former Chief Minister late N T Rama Rao.

A large number of TDP activists gathered at the spot and held protests. They raised slogans against the miscreants and demanded stern action against them. Police officials convinced the agitating activists that they would register a case and arrest the culprits.

TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who is presently touring the Guntur district, was also informed about the incident. Condemning the act, he demanded immediate action against those responsible for the act. (INN)
