The president of the Tahreek Muslim Shabban and the Telangana Muslim JAC, Mushtaq Mallik, today, welcomed the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the issue of the Jan Lok Pal Bill.
In a media statement (which sounds vaguely sarcastic), Mushtaq Mallik praised Kejriwal for the latter's daring act of deciding to quit his post over a legislation aimed at ending corruption.
Mallik also said that the qualities and dedication displayed by Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party towards achieving a corruption-free society in India was unmatched in the entire country.
Mushtaq Mallik said that Kejriwal's decision has led to the beginning of a new era in the Indian democracy.
Mushtaq Mallik hoped that the Aam Aadmi Party would work towards bringing a change in the country. He appreciated Kejriwal for stopping the growing communal wave of appreciation towards Narendra Modi and Sangh Parivar.
However, he asked Kejriwal to devise a policy for the welfare and development of the minorities, Dalits and other suppressed sections of the society. He said that the weaker sections were the worst hit due to corruption in the society and they need to be empowered politically.
He expressed confidence that the Aam Aadmi Party will not only root out corruption, but will also ensure social justice in the country. He said that the AAP will not remain confined to Delhi, but will spread its movement to all parts of the country. (INN)
