Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday assured that he would resolve the problems being faced by the teachers' community in the State.
Addressing the official Teachers' Day celebrations at Ravindra Bharathi, KCR promised to conduct a review meeting by inviting all the teachers' associations in the State.
He said that although teachers' associations were divided on several issues, he would try to find an amicable solution to their problems.
He also assured that the government would consider appointment of teachers to the posts of MEO and DEOs.
KCR sought the cooperation of teachers in improving the education standards of Telangana.
He said that while giving full importance to the Telugu language, the Government would also introduce compulsory English medium education from the next academic year.
He also lauded the role of teachers during the statehood movement.
The Chief Minister also paid rich tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishna, and recalled his services to the nation.
The best teachers of the State were also felicitated on the occasion.
Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Education Minister Jagadish Reddy, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and other leaders were present on the occasion. (INN)
