KCR Promises New Super Speciality Hospital
Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that the CM had agreed to construct a new multi-specialty hospital on the Erragadda government hospital's premises.
Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today revealed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had agreed to construct a new multi-specialty hospital on the premises of the Erragadda Chest Hospital in Hyderabad.
Yadav visited the government facility along with Home Minister Mahamood Ali and inspected the infrastructure and services available there.
He later stated, "Government and health officials have recently started a special Covid-19 ward here. Now, the CM has agreed to construct a new multi-specialty facility on the hospital premises as well. We have already discussed the proposal with Superintendent Mahabub Khan. 44 acres of land is available on the premises and we are planning to establish a modern hospital-cum-research centre here. I will make another visit with the concerned officials, including Health Secretary Syed Ali M Rizvi, Health Director G Srinivas Rao and DME Ramesh Reddy, to the hospital. Following the visit, we will submit a report to the CM who will then take a call on the matter. On the construction of the new hospital, the people in the city will be able to access better facilities, at par with those provided at corporate hospitals. This will also help reduce the rush at other nearby healthcare facilities," he said.
"Our government is committed to providing good healthcare services to the people amidst the Covid-19 crisis and beyond that as well. We are spending huge funds on the improvement of Telangana's health sector. We are also working hard to defeat the ongoing pandemic. In this regard, the current lockdown has helped decreased the cases and fatalities in the state. The people's cooperation has been key in this," the minister added.
He then appealed to the people of the state to continue to follow the lockdown rules and the Covid-19 safety protocols.
