He assured the farmers that the State Government would provide Manjira water to Medak farmers for irrigation.
He said that as against the allocation of 4.06 TMC waters to irrigate 25,000 acres, the Ghanpur Anicut was getting water only for 12,000 acres. However, he said that Manjira water would be supplied for the irrigation of nearly 30,000 acres of land in the district.
Stating that the water shortage in the district was due to the diversion of water to Hyderabad for drinking, he said that the city would be provided drinking water from the Krishna River.
The Chief Minister reiterated the promise of trifurcating Medak into three districts. Besides Medak, two more districts - Siddipet and Sanga Reddy - would be created soon.
He also announced Rs 1 crore for the development of infrastructure in the district. Of this, four selected mandals would be getting Rs 25 lakhs each, while Rs 15 lakhs each would be given for the development of villages.

He also asked them to take up projects for the beautification of the Medak town.
Speaking at the Medak District Development Review meeting, KCR asked the officials to ensure the successful implementation of the Water Grid, Mission Kakatiya and Haritha Haram projects.
He said that while the Water Grid would ensure tap water supply to each and every household in the State, the Mission Kakatiya would review the entire irrigation system.
