KCR Not Giving Funds To Non-TRS MLAs: T-Congress
The Telangana Congress accused CM K Chandrashekar Rao of not releasing funds for the Assembly constituencies represented by MLAs of opposition parties.
The Telangana Congress Legislature Party on Friday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of not releasing funds for the Assembly constituencies represented by MLAs of opposition parties.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, CLP Secretary and Pargi MLA Dr T Ram Mohan Reddy alleged that the majority of funds being released for different developmental works were being taken away by the TRS MLAs.
Citing an instance, he said that the Panchayat Raj Department released Rs 1,952.22 crores through GO Ms No 36. Of this, Rs 85 crores were released for Gajwel, the constituency represented by the Chief Minister.
Similarly, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy got Rs 53.30 crores for his Tandur constituency, he said.
Accusing the State Government of adopting a step-motherly attitude towards opposition party MLAs, he asked the Chief Minister to stop this discrimination.
Ram Mohan Reddy said that the Chief Minister was discriminating against the non-TRS MLAs in the same way that Seemandhra leaders discriminated against Telangana during their regimes.
He said that the dream of Bangaru Telangana could not be accomplished by ignoring the more than one-third of Assembly constituencies being represented by the opposition parties, especially the Congress. (INN)
