All top leaders of the two Telugu states today conveyed their New Year wishes to the people.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wished the people of the state a Happy New Year. He said that he had prayed that the people of the state lead happy lives in 2018, and expressed hope that the welfare and development programs meant for the people would be successfully implemented in the year.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, too, wished the people on the eve of the New Year. In a message, the CM expressed his wishes for the good health and prosperity of the people, and suggested to them that they face their challenges boldly to achieve success. He also said that every citizen needed to be a partner in the development of the state and support the implementation of the development and welfare schemes.
Minister Nara Lokesh also wished people on the occasion.
The Governor of both the states E S L Narasimhan in a message extended his New Year greetings to the people and expressed his wish that 2018 would bring cheer and happiness to every citizen in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
On New Year day, January 1, 2018, Narasimhan, as a customary practice, will also be available to exchange pleasantries with the public and leaders of civil society at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, between 11 am and 12 noon.
Leader Of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, too, greeted the Telugu people. He expressed hope that 2018 would bring prosperity, happiness and peace to every home. Reddy is currently in Chittoor as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra. On Day 48, he launched his yatra from Mulapalli Cross.
