Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today spoke with Andhra Pradesh farmer Uppala Prasad Rao, of Krishna district's Ghantasala Palem village, well-known for his use of technological innovations in farming, over the phone.

Prasad Rao was happy to respond to the CM's queries, and shared his views and suggestions on ways to ensure profitable farming.
KCR then invited the farmer to Pragathi Bhavan saying that it would be helpful to learn about the latter's experience in the field in greater detail, and assured him that a car would be sent to pick him up from his village.
Later, the farmer said that he was feeling honoured to have received a call from the Telangana CM.
"I am proud that I received a call from KCR. He asked me about my experiences in the farming sector, and I was more than happy to share my understanding of the Veda farming method with him. I will be meeting him at his office soon, and will share more of my experiences then," he said.
Known locally as a hero of sorts, Prasad Rao has been involved in organic agriculture for the last four decades. He owns 12 acres of land on which he has been able to set up a flourishing farm where he not only grows various varieties of crops, but also practices dairy and poultry farming, and pisciculture
He was even awarded the Best Organic Farmer Award by the AP government for his success in the field, in 2014.
