Kailash Satyarthi In Hyderabad, Gets Grand Welcome
The Nobel laureate, on an all-India tour to campaign for children's rights and education, is in Telangana, and was welcomed by ministers and the Speaker.

Nobel Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi today got a grand welcome at the Assembly premises.
Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Ministers T Harish Rao, K T Rama Rao and G Jagadish Reddy, MPs B Vinod Kumar and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, and officials welcomed Satyarthi on his arrival.
The Nobel laureate, who is on an all-India tour to campaign for children's rights and education, is in Telangana currently, and offered floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Dr Ambedkar on the Assembly premises.
Satyarthi was then taken through an eight-minute video presentation of the flagship Mission Kakatiya lake revival program at the Assembly premises. He appreciated the Telangana government for the program, and said that such programs should be launched across the nation. He also praised a large number of lakes and reservoirs being revived in three years through Mission Kakatiya.
Earlier, in this morning, Satyarthi interacted with over 150 industry leaders from CII, HYSEA, Hyderabad Angels, TiE Hyderabad and the Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry over breakfast in a city hotel.
Addressing the gathering, the noble laureate told the business community, corporate world and business leaders in the country to come out with technological and business solutions to social problems.
