JNTU Examination Scam: 8 Arrested
4 engineering students and 4 outsourced employees of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) examination branch have been arrested for malpractice.

The Task Force sleuths on Tuesday apprehended 4 engineering students and 4 outsourced employees of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) examination branch, for indulging in examination malpractices, and seized Rs. 3.45 lakhs, 17 answer sheets, 8 mobile phones and a motorcycle from their possession.
The police said that the accused students have been identified as Shaik Abdul Malik (22), Vudhturi Nagarjuna Reddy (22), Lakkasani Sarat Chandra (22) and Bezawada Sai Bharath (21), and the accused employees of the JNTU have been identified as Devarajula Parshuram (24), Munigonda Narender (24), Banoth Bheemudu (22) and Banoth Mangilal (25).
The police further revealed that the engineering students would collect the answer booklets of B. Tech. 2nd and 3rd year students from JNTU affiliated engineering colleges in collusion with the JNTU outsourced employees, and would return the booklets after rewriting the exam. "They would charge students a huge sum of money for this," the police added.
The police caught the accused students and JNTU employees red-handed near the Sri Sai Durga Boys Hostel, S R Nagar, while they were in the midst of receiving and handing over the answer booklets.
The arrested persons, along with seized material, were handed over to the Station House Officer of the S R Nagar police station for further action. (INN)
