Former minister and senior Congress leader J C Diwakar Reddy has welcomed the reported move of the Group of Ministers (GoM) to form a Rayala Telangana.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises on Tuesday, Diwakar Reddy said that the Anantapur and Kurnool districts would benefit if they are made part of the Telangana state. He praised the GoM for considering the proposal, and said that he would visit New Delhi on Wednesday to thank Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the same.
Diwakar Reddy said that the people of Anantapur and Kurnool want to be a part of Telangana, and that both the districts would get justice. (INN)
