Police Arrest 3 Thieves, 1 Receiver For Burglary
The Medipally police have cracked a series of night-time house-breaking cases in Chengicherla, and arrested three inter-State burglars and one receiver.

The Medipally police, with the assistance of the Central Crime Station (CCS), Uppal, have cracked a series of night-time house-breaking cases in Chengicherla, and arrested three inter-State burglars and one receiver.
The police seized four mobile phones and Rs 2.04 lakh in cash from the accused.
The accused were involved in breaking into locked houses and decamping with cash, gold ornaments and other valuables. Based on CCTV footage, technical analysis and local intelligence, special teams tracked and arrested the accused.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mahadev Jha (Delhi), Pawan Gupta (Delhi), Mangal Singh (Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh), and receiver Seeram Sav Beerendra (Bihar). They were involved in four house-breaking cases registered at the Medipally police station.
The police revealed that the prime accused had a long criminal history, with previous cases registered in Delhi, Warangal, Jangaon and Nalgonda, including offences related to theft, house-breaking and Arms Act violations.
According to the Rachakonda police, on the intervening night of January 15-16, 2026, the accused broke into nine houses in Kanaka Durga Colony, Chengicherla, before fleeing with the stolen property. After sustained efforts, Jha was arrested in Bihar, Gupta and Singh in Kanpur, and Beerendra in Bihar. All the accused were brought to Hyderabad on transit warrants. Further investigation is underway.
