Gajwel To Get Safe Water First, On April 30: KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today disclosed that his government's flagship program Mission Bhagiratha to supply safe drinking water to every household would begin on April 30.
The CM announced this while laying the foundation stones for the horticulture university, agriculture university and Center for Excellence at Mulug in the Medak district in a sprawling 1,300-acre campus, along with Union agriculture minister Radhamohan Singh.
He said that his government would keep its promise of launching the safe drinking water program from Gajwel in the Medak district.
Extending thanks to Radhamohan Singh after the event, KCR also expressed hoped that the three institutes would fortify the farm and horticulture sectors. He said that efforts were being made to transform Telangana into the seed bowl of India by getting the best equipped laboratories in horticulture and the farm sector, and urged Singh to help the State have more storage houses and help its farm sector.
"We will follow the instructions given by Union Agriculture Minister Radhamohan Singh for farm sector development," he said.
KCR also announced that Rs 50 crores would be spent for the setting up of a forest college in Gajwel, and Rs 20 crores for a cold storage plant at the Ontimamidi Market Yard in the district.
On the occasion, KCR felicitated the Union agriculture minister.
