As heavy rains and consequent flooding continued in the state, train services have been disrupted, especially the long distance trains.
Due to water overflowing on the track between Jhadupudi and Ichchapuram stations of the East Coast Railway, some long distance trains going towards Howrah, and coming from Howrah have been cancelled, rescheduled or diverted.
While the Howrah-Mysore Express and the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Special have been cancelled, the Secunderabad-Visakha Express and the Secunderabad-Tirupati, Narayanadri Express, have been rescheduled.
3 more trains, the Yesvantpur-Howrah Express, the Secunderabad-Guwahati Special and the Bangalore-Guwahati Express have been diverted. (INN)
