Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Friday, claimed that the state government was taking all steps possible to upgrade emergency healthcare services in Andhra Pradesh.
The CM was talking to media persons after inaugurating the Advanced 108 Ambulance and Prototype Mother & Child Care vehicle at GVK EMRI in Devar Yamzal in Rangareddy district.
He reiterated that the government would upgrade facilities in all the government hospitals on par with corporate hospitals to benefit the common man.
Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the government was proposing to synchronise both private and government hospitals in order to provide better health care facilities to people.
Stating that 4 lakh operations were conducted last year under the Rajiv Arogyasri Health Scheme, he said that the government has allocated Rs. 2,000 crore in its budget for health services. He also said that the government has spent Rs. 5,200 crore on health care for the poor, in the last two years.
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and Medical Education minister Kondru Muralimohan were also present at the program. (INN)
