Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal To Visit Hyderabad On May 27
...as part of his nation-wide tour to garner the support of political parties against the Centre's ordinance taking control of civil services in Delhi.
As part of his nation-wide tour to garner the support of political parties against the Centre's ordinance putting the civil services in Delhi under the control of the union government, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be visiting Hyderabad on Saturday.
Kejriwal will meet Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and discuss the consequences of the Centre's ordinance.
The meeting between Kejriwal and KCR is expected to revolve around their shared concerns regarding the ordinance and the potential strategies to address the issue effectively.
Apart from this, both leaders are likely to discuss national politics and their strategies against the BJP government at the Centre.
Recently, the union government has promulgated an ordinance to create an authority for transfer and posting of Group-A officers in Delhi.
Strongly opposing the Centre's Delhi ordinance, Kejriwal has been touring across the nation to bring non-BJP parties on board and to garner their support against the ordinance.
As part of his tour, the Delhi CM called on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar in Mumbai on Friday and sought his support.
Kejriwal has already met his West Bengal and Bihar counterparts, Mamata Banerjee and Nitish Kumar respectively, and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, who all reportedly promised support.
The Delhi CM alleged that the Centre's ordinance had affected the federal structure of the country, and such moves are being used as weapons to circumvent elected governments.
