Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar today urged the public to participate in the caste census survey without hesitation, and to provide accurate information.
He assured people that the survey data would remain confidential, and that the data would help the government develop comprehensive plans tailored to each community's needs.
He also appealed to the leaders of the various communities to support the initiative.
The minister was speaking in Husnabad town, where he visited the residence of one Mosarla Prathap Reddy and himself collected the detailed household information as part of the survey.
"Approximately 85,000 enumerators, each assigned to 150 households, are conducting the survey across Telangana, with district and mandal-level monitoring to ensure effective data collection," he said. He likened the survey to an X-ray of the State, aimed at addressing disparities between communities and identifying areas needing support, and reassured people that the initiative had no hidden motives, and was focused solely on securing a prosperous future for Telangana.
He claimed that the people were enthusiastically participating in the survey, and were providing full support to the historic exercise.
He also mentioned that Governor Jishnu Dev Varma too had given his family and other details for the survey, highlighting its significance.
