The Congress Legislature Party is scheduled to meet at around 6:30 pm on Wednesday to discuss Chief Minister K Rosaiah's successor at Assembly committee hall.
According to highly placed sources, Assembly Speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy is most likely to be named as the next Chief Minister.
According to sources, representatives of the Congress High Command, including Union Finance Minister S Jaipal Reddy, Defence Minister A K Antony and Party In-Charge for Andhra Pradesh Affairs Veerappa Moily, apart from AICC president Sonia Gandhi's political advisor Ahmed Patel are expected to participate in the meeting.
Earlier in the day, Government Chief Whip Mallu Batti Vikramarka had stated the agenda for the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting to be held on Wednesday at 6.30 pm had not been finalized.
Vikramarka had stated that the emergency meeting of CLP would be attended by all MLAs and MLCs.
