Former Minister and Congress senior leader J C Diwakar Reddy on Tuesday described the defectors of Congress party as spineless leaders.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises, Diwakar Reddy said that those leaving the Congress party lacked self-confidence, and were afraid for their political futures. If those leaders are confident of themselves, then they must resign from their posts; get elected as MLAs as independent candidates and join the party of their choice, he said.
Diwakar Reddy advised that the Congress party should not even try convince those who were willing to quit, and that all the doors for their return should be sealed.
Diwakar Reddy refused to comment on the controversy surrounding the letter allegedly written by Union Tribal Welfare Minister V Kishore Chandra Deo seeking the removal of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana. He said he was not aware of the facts and therefore, would not like to comment on the same. (INN)
