Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday reviewed the implementation of the Aarogyasri scheme in the state.
Minister Kondru Murali and other concerned officials participated in the meeting. While the government has been wanting to expand the scope of the scheme, private hospitals have threatened to pull out from the scheme if the tariff is not increased by 3 May.
There was a war of words between the management of private hospitals and the government over the tariff. The government was harsh, and that said private hospitals benefited a lot from the scheme, while the hospitals contended that they cannot continue the treatment with the present tariff. (INN)
