Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Wednesday, reviewed the power sector with Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi and other officials, and asked them to maintain providing adequate power supply to consumers, and to concentrate on long-term power generation.
The Chief Minister reviewed the latest power position and other energy issues with the Chief Secretary and other senior officials, at the camp office today.
The officials informed him that due to the severity of the summer and the heat wave, a fall in ground water table, and an enormous increase in consumption by the domestic sector, there has been a steep increase in the demand for power.
