Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Monday called on Governor E S L Narsimhan at Raj Bhavan and informed him about the Cabinet's recommendations to advance the monsoon session of the state Assembly.
It is also believed that the Chief Minister apprised the Governor of the situation in the state, during the hour-long meeting.
Rosaiah is believed to have told the Governor that the Cabinet has recommended the advancement of the State Assembly's monsoon session in view of the by-elections to the 12 constituencies in Telangana.
The Cabinet had, in its meeting on Friday, recommended preponement so that the dates of the by-polls do not clash with the those of the Assembly session.
