CM Inaugurates SC-ST Sub-Plan

The SC-ST sub-plan was inaugurated today by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at Illendu in Kothagudem mandal. The sub-plan is said to be the biggest achievement of this government.

Though there are some minor hassles in the Act, all parties welcomed the legislation which intends to spend the funds earmarked for SCs and STs.

The Act does not permit any diversion of funds, and makes it compulsory to spend the funds for the intended purpose.

Earlier, the government used to divert funds earmarked for SC and ST welfare, but now there is a restriction, with the Act coming into force. (INN)
