Rebel Telugu Desam Party leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday alleged that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu had gone to New Delhi to foil the chances of for formation of a Telangana state.
Talking to media persons at the Assembly media point, Nagam demanded that Naidu make a statement revealing the purpose behind his meeting Union Home Minister P Chidambaram in New Delhi today.
Naidu had met the Union Home Minister, hours before the Seemandhra delegation called on Chidambaram as part of the consultation process taken up by the Centre.
Nagam alleged that Naidu was visiting New Delhi before the Seemandhra delegation's meeting with Ghulam Nabi Azad, giving room for suspicion.
Demanding the resignation of elected representatives from Telangana, Nagam said he suspects the commitment of Telangana Telugu Desam Forum leaders towards the cause of statehood. (INN)
