Centre Violated Statute On Power Reforms: KCR

The Telangana CM today alleged that the Narendra Modi government had violated the Indian Constitution and insulted Parliament to implement power reforms.
Hyderabad | 13th February 2022
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today alleged that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre had violated the Indian Constitution and insulted Parliament to implement power reforms in the country.

He also alleged that the union government had warned Telangana that it would losing Rs. 25,000 crore during the next year if it did not implement the power reforms in the State.

Speaking to mediapersons at his camp office Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday, the Chief Minister showed documentary evidence to prove his claims.

He alleged that Modi, while addressing a public meeting at Gajwel five years back, had lied to the people of the country and the State by stating that his government was providing power to Telangana at Rs. 1.10 paise per unit instead of Rs. 11.50 paise per unit.

KCR said that the Centre had never supplied power to Telangana at Rs. 1.10 paise per unit.

Assailing Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar for his outbursts against him, KCR said that he could do nothing but pity Kumar for his illogical and ill-founded comments.

"The Telangana BJP president lacks knowledge about any issue. He is bringing disrepute to the BJP with his lack of knowledge and useless comments. I feel pity when I see him. I don't know if he is properly educated or not. The BJP should allow other party leaders to speak on the important issues," he said.

He said that he did not make any statement without doing his home work first, and that Kumar should do the same.
