The migration of MLAs from the opposition BRS to the ruling Congress in Telangana continues.
BRS leader and Rajendranagar MLA Prakash Goud will join the Congress on Friday.
Along with him, two municipal chairpersons will also wear the scarf of the Congress, in the presence of TPCC president and CM Revanth Reddy.
Goud had met Reddy at the CM's residence in April of this year. On this occasion, Goud expressed his willingness to join the Congress. As this news went viral, the top leadership of the BRS stepped in, with BRS Working president K T Rama Rao meeting Goud and convincing him not to take any hasty decision. After that meeting, Goud shelved his plans to join the ruling party for some time. However, he has now decided again to join the Congress.
So far, 7 BRS MLAs, including Tellam Venkata Rao (Bhadrachalam), Danam Nagender (Khairatabad), Kadiyam Srihari (Station Ghanpur), Pocharam Srinivas Reddy (Bansuwada), M Sanjay Kumar (Jagtial), Kale Yadaiah (Chevella) and Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy (Gadwal) have joined the Congress.
