Congress Confident Botsa Won't Join YSR Congress
YSR Congress leaders had called on Botsa on Friday evening to request Botsa to join the YSR Congress. Botsa too responded positively to the YSRCP feelers.
Andhra Pradesh Congress senior leader C Ramachandraiah exuded confidence that former PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana would not leave the Congress as the latter was a good Congress leader.
It may be recalled that some YSR Congress MPs and MLAs had called on Botsa on Friday evening at the latter's residence to request him to embrace the YSR Congress. Botsa too had sent positive signals to the YSRCP feelers.
It is learnt that Botsa had put some conditions to switch his loyalty to the YSRCP.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Ramachandraiah also alleged that the TDP's Mahanadu was held for self-propoganda by Chandrababu Naidu and to enable him criticize others. He also accused BJP leaders of speaking in one tone in the morning and in another in the evening on Special Status to Andhra Pradesh.
Another leader, PCC vice-president Anam Vivekananda Reddy, said that APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy would visit the districts from June 2.
He said that the party would discuss extensively on Special Status to AP and the Duggaraja Patnam Port issue, and would take decisions on them. (NSS)
