New Intermediate Attendance Exemption Rules
Attendance exemption for private candidates wishing to appear for the 2015 Inter exams will be considered for arts combinations, on payment of Rs. 500.
The Board of Intermediate Education on Tuesday informed that exemption from attendance for private candidates (without college study) wishing to appear for the Intermediate Public Examinations to be held in March, 2015, will be considered for arts combinations on payment of exemption fee of Rs. 500.
According to BIE Secretary Rama Sankar Naik, the prescribed fee is Rs. 500 for grant of exemption, and the cost of the application form is Rs. 10. The last date for payment of fee is August 14, and it can be paid till August 21 with a late fee of Rs. 200.
Incomplete applications and applications received without original qualifying examination certificate(s), Transfer Certificates, and Migration Certificates together with eligibility certificates in case of candidates who passed the qualifying examination other than AP's SSC, will be rejected summarily without any further correspondence.
The provision of granting exemption from attendance (without college study) to science candidates for the Intermediate Public Examinations was dispensed with in September 1997.
Candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana can download the exemption application from the Board's websites (www.bieap.gov.in and www.bie.telangana.gov.in respectively), and an amount of Rs. 10 needs to be paid towards the cost of application along with the exemption fee. (INN)
