Alleging that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had launched a new "drama" in the state in the name of wage hikes for all the state government's employees, state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today expressed his unhappiness over the recently released Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report.
He alleged that the CM had already cheated the unemployed youth of Telangana by promising to provide employment opportunities for them and then failing to do so, and asked if the Biswal committee, working on the PRC, too was a way to cheat the people of the state.
"It looks like the CM had drafted the PRC report himself while sitting in his farmhouse, disconnected from the reality outside. Perhaps this is why he has not kept in mind the needs and interests of the government employees of the state. It is a cruel document - while the rate of the wage hike is 7.5%, the HRA has been reduced by 6%," the BJP head said.
He demanded that the CM give 43% fitment to the employees immediately, and that KCR fill up all the vacant posts in the various government departments of the state at the earliest.
The BJP had
called out the government on the issue earlier as well, and had censured the latter for "failing to stand by the government employees of the state".
