The Budget session of the state Legislative Assembly, which started on 13 February, concluded on Thursday, with the state government passing the Appropriation Bill without debate.
According to statistics, the Assembly functioned for 29 days, and worked for 88 hours and 14 minutes. However, on an average, the Assembly worked for a little over 3 hours on each working day, to discuss and pass a budget of Rs. 1.45 lakh crore.
As many 127 Starred Questions were answered orally, and 40 answers to Un-starred Questions included in the lists and circulated to the MLAs.
While just 7 Short Notice Questions were answered, 213 supplementary questions were answered.
Similarly, 93 Starred Questions, 24 Un-starred Questions and 23 SNQs were placed on the Table of the House on Thursday.
As many as 173 MLAs made speeches during the session, and ministers made 3 statements on different issues.
Further, 11 Bills were introduced and 17 Bills passed during the Budget session. The House also had a short discussion on the power situation.
