Labour Minister Danam Nagender claims that the Andhra Pradesh bandh called for by opposition parties was a total flop.
Talking to reporters in the GHMC Congress party office at Nampally here on Tuesday, Nagender said that the people have rejected the bandh call given by the opposition parties over the energy crisis, as they have realised that the state government is making sincere efforts to resolve the power crisis. He said that the impact of bandh was almost nil, especially in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Speaking about Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy, Nagender said that the government could not react until it gets a copy of the chargesheet filed by the CBI against her. Condemning the criticism by opposition parties, he said that there was no immediate need for Sabitha Indira Reddy to resign from her post. (INN)
