Wakf Board Gets New CEO

Mohammed Habeebuddin Ahmed is the new CEO of the state Muslim Wakf Board.

Mohammed Habeebuddin Ahmed took over charge as the Chief Executive Officer of the state Muslim Wakf Board on Tuesday.

A former Deputy Secretary (Minority Welfare), Ahmed also holds the additional charge of the Haj Committee Executive Officer.

Ahmed's name was proposed by the government, and the Wakf Board accepted the proposal, thus making his appointment unanimous.

A GO was issued by the state government on Tuesday, confirming Ahmed's name as the CEO.

Sultan Mohiuddin was the interim CEO after the former CEO BS Farouk Ahmed was arrested, havign been caught red-handed accepting a bribe for doing an official favour.
